Transportation Service

ACIL provides accessible transportation for people with disabilities. You can arrange a trip for any purpose or appointment, except emergency medical situations. If you or your trip is not covered by Medicaid, our fares are lower than any available accessible-van alternative.

Examples of non-emergency medical trips could be:

  • Doctor's appointments or clinic visits

  • Non-emergency hospital appointments or visits

  • Dialysis

  • Physical Therapy

  • Rehab Services

  • Pharmacy/Drug Store

Examples of non-medical trips could be:

  • Grocery shopping

  • Attend day time meetings

  • Go to a restaurant, movie or the library

  • To pay bills

If you are a Medicaid recipient then your non-emergency medical trip may be covered by Medicaid. You should call the state's Medicaid Transport System at (844) 549-8353. If you need accessible van transport, that system may arrange your trip with ACIL.

ACIL's hours of service are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. To arrange a ride please call (304) 965-0376.
